It is good to dream about what could make our city a better place.
When the American Institute of Architects (AIA)-Indianapolis invited Schmidt Associates to write letters to Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, we happily accepted the invitation to provide one page of big or small ideas to improve the urban built environment for Indianapolis — and a sketch to illustrate it.
50 Letters From Architects is the inaugural exhibition in Hall Pass, a public discussion room at The Hall, Indianapolis’ old City Hall building, which has been converted to Department of Metropolitan Development offices and space for community engagement.
This project weaves together several of our favorite passions: creativity, great urban design, lively public discussion, and making our city even better than it already is.
If you’d like to see all 50 Letters From Architects, they are on display through July 31st, at:
The Hall
202 N. Alabama St.
Visit our blog in the coming weeks to see the ideas we submitted.
