THE INDY 5K EXPERIENCE

This idea uses the ever-popular 5k run/walk as a conduit for the public to experience the Cultural Trail.  This inaugural event would be organized to raise awareness of the Cultural Trail and allows participants to experience destinations along the route.

The event is envisioned to be an interactive experience where participants could stop and start at a preferred cultural district(s).  The event would ideally have businesses within each cultural district participate and encourage the 5k run/walkers to stop at their business or to provide water along the route.
