Jewish Hospital: Advancing Medicine in Louisville

For more than 40 years, Jewish Hospital has been a cornerstone of medical innovation in downtown Louisville. Our partnership with this historic institution began in the 1980s with renovations to its 400-bed facility. Our first new construction was the Outpatient Care Center (OCC), followed by the Heart & Lung Institute, Frazier Rehabilitation Institute, and several outpatient facilities in the suburbs, including Jewish Hospital East, Northeast, and South.

A Legacy of Innovation

Jewish Hospital is renowned for pioneering medical firsts, including the world’s first and second successful AbioCor™ Implantable Replacement Heart transplants and the nation’s first four hand transplants. These achievements were made possible in spaces purposefully designed to accommodate advanced procedures and cutting-edge technologies.

When tasked with designing their 80,000-square-foot headquarters, we created a state-of-the-art environment that fosters discovery, collaboration, and transformative research.

Located in Indianapolis’ life sciences corridor, the Regenstrief Institute’s headquarters anchors a network of healthcare leaders, including Riley Children’s Hospital, Eskenazi Health, and the IU School of Medicine. Our design prioritizes collaboration and sustainable healthcare design to support the institute’s mission.

• Collaborative Research Spaces: Flexible environments that unite over 165 staff members and more than 50 investigators tackling critical healthcare challenges.
