Schmidt Associates designed the renovation of the existing Rotary Building on the Indiana University Indianapolis campus, creating a bridge between the historic building and its modern amenities. Selected for its energy efficiency, the design included a unique chilled beam HVAC system with a mix of floor-mounted induction units and ceiling-chilled beams. The resulting facility is LEED Silver certified and received an ASHRAE Technology Award for energy modeling and optimization efforts undertaken during design and post-occupancy.
