The pharmacy in Muhlenberg Community Hospital was no longer meeting the needs of the patients of the community. In response to the need to produce chemotherapy products in house and bring the facility up to current regulatory requirements, our team was hired to expand the inpatient pharmacy. The expansion allowed for the addition of a clean room and new equipment, including fume hoods for chemotherapy and IV compounding.
