The renovation of Porter County’s Memorial Opera House revitalized a historic landmark while preserving its architectural integrity. Key upgrades included the installation of modern mechanical systems in the basement, enhanced plumbing and restroom facilities, and a protective clear water coating on the exterior to safeguard the building’s structure. Inside, the auditorium underwent significant enhancements, featuring updated house lighting, stained trim, new windows, and custom ornate seating (donated by the Memorial Opera House fundraisers)—all thoughtfully designed to improve both aesthetics and functionality. These improvements were carefully executed to balance contemporary needs with the opera house’s historical character.
