McKenzie Center for Innovation & Technology

McKenzie Center for Innovation and Technology offers an array of vocational programs, including the culinary arts and cosmetology. These two programs had long outgrown their current spaces and needed to expand while utilizing the latest technology and equipment the industry had to offer. In addition to the programmatic upgrades, the HVAC system was upgraded to more efficient units while improving occupants’ comfort.

Since both programs provide services to the surrounding community, the new design had to incorporate a dedicated patron entry while securing the rest of the school and student body. Through the use of new finishes, furniture, and equipment, Schmidt Associates created a unique and timeless identity for each program, fulfilling their unique needs—both now and for future growth.
