Schmidt Associates designed a remarkable transformation of approximately 10,000 SF on the 22nd floor of an existing facility in downtown Louisville. Through the use of technology, engaging design charrettes played a pivotal role in defining the aesthetic.
The envisioned home-away-from-home concept was realized through the incorporation of materials such as concrete, steel, and wood, aligning seamlessly with the essence of a structural engineering office. Abundant amenities are now available, including expanding the break room, multiple conference rooms, library, living room, game room, and even a family room for children of employees to use. The plan concept revolved around the idea that the perimeter of the office suite is dedicated as shared space and takes advantage of the views of the surrounding urban landscape as well as distant views beyond.
