Inpatient Care and Grief Counseling Center Master Plan
Schmidt Associates provided master plan services including architectural massing studies, programming, space planning, and construction budgeting for the new Inpatient Care and Counseling Center. The project involves combining two very different functions in one building; a 16-bed inpatient hospice facility with amenities to care for and comfort terminally ill patients and a grief counseling center with rooms for small and large group therapy sessions. Components to be shared by both programs include a chapel, library, art and music therapy, meeting rooms and a healing garden.
