The new transportation center houses the township’s transportation offices, bus maintenance facilities, bus driver facilities, and CDL training area. Each department has its own secure area within the building. Bright colors fill the office and driver spaces in fun and unique patterns to reflect the township’s branding and to make the areas warm and inviting. The 11-bay bus maintenance facility and wash bay expands capacity to service more buses at one time. Earth berms around the perimeter of the site provide visual screening for the adjacent neighborhoods and the main road. The site has dedicated parking for 199 buses, a lot for 39 visitors and staff, and a third lot for 219 bus drivers and aids. There is a fueling station on-site to fuel six buses simultaneously.
