Schmidt Associates was commissioned to perform a facility conditional assessment for Hoosier Energy. The scope of the assessment included 19 buildings on 10 different sites. Our team walked the site and buildings to evaluate interior and exterior systems and their conditions. Based on the age and condition of the building, this assessment identified recommendations as a high priority and those items that need to be addressed soon based on the following priorities: life safety/code compliance, securing/maintaining the building envelope, programmatic improvements and energy efficiency, and aesthetic upgrades. It also identified additional improvements that could be made in a multi-year maintenance plan or as part of a larger renovation project. Ultimately, the condition assessment was used to build out an 11-year work plan for the Owner.
