As the nature of publishing rapidly changes with new technologies, so must the workspaces publishers occupy. This project signified a shift in thinking, from a more traditional office model to a nearly 100% open office environment, with an increase in collaborative and social space as well as heads down focus space to accommodate the reduced privacy at the individual workstation. Bright and clean finishes bring life to the space and graphics are use throughout the social spaces to spread the Wiley culture.
This project includes an all-hands training space, full recording studio with green screen technology, and a cafeteria space sufficient to serve a headcount of approximately 180 colleagues. Equity of space is incredibly important in this open office concept as all colleagues get the same amount of space, the same lockable, private storage, and access to all shared amenities.
