Thomas Kennedy
EIT
Between excelling in math, science, and reasoning, and with inspiration from his grandfather who was a superintendent on a construction site, Thomas Kennedy realized he had been given a great opportunity to advance his skill set by becoming a mechanical engineer. First earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Butler University and a second Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, Thomas believes that every day is another chance to be better than yesterday.
In 2020, he completed the mechanical engineering design for a fire station in the City of Greenwood, an accomplishment he says is his proudest moment. Between working on K-12 and community studio projects, Thomas has also developed a review program for younger colleagues working toward becoming professional engineers.
Outside of work
Thomas enjoys playing video games, and cheering on the Indy Eleven, the Butler Bulldogs and Indiana Pacers. He and his fiancé are also the proud owners of a Bernedoodle named Clover. During his high school days at Warren Central, Thomas was a first chair viola player, and he was once on the WTHR Brain Game.
