Project Overview
In 1910, the beautiful Wil-Fra-Mar, named after the developer’s children, was constructed, but after a fire in the 1960s, it fell into disrepair. The Schmidt Associates team worked with the remaining space and renovated it to our particular needs. With the requirement for greater working space, we designed a new, four-story office building named Phi-Dan-Ste, after Wayne Schmidt’s children, honoring the tradition of the original developer. The facility is connected on all floors and the façade blends brilliantly to complement the historic block. At Schmidt Associates we practice what we preach and we used the philosophies and approaches we hold dear when it came time to designing our own collaborative space.
