Project Overview
When the Indianapolis International Airport relocated its main terminal, the entire east side of the airport property became available for redevelopment.
In order to assist a corporate client in envisioning the potential of the property, Schmidt Associates designed a campus accommodating up to 8,000,000 sq. ft. The design included a sustainable site plan and a transit hub—including ground transportation to downtown Indianapolis and a private airport terminal.
Highly visible from I-465, the new facility was designed to mimic birds in flight and to reference the “mountains” of Indianapolis.
