As Marian University’s music program was expanding, a new facility was required that included a large practice facility, a band room, rehearsal space, musical instrument storage, and a new entry. Honoring the historic Stokely and Allison mansion, the new space would pay homage to the beauty and class of the mansions. With custom acoustical masonry blocks on the interior complemented by specially designed waffle ceiling tiles, the Music Building is designed to be an instrument to students and audiences alike.

“The expansion of the music center will allow us to accommodate the quickly growing music population due to the new bands program and growing choral program. Schmidt Associates designed a building that pays homage to the beauty and class of the historic Stokely and Allison mansions, staples in the design of Marian College’s beautiful and vibrant campus.”
