Jake Baughman

As a mechanical engineer specializing in plumbing design, Jake Baughman enjoys the challenges that come with solving complex problems. With a philosophy of finding elegant, creative solutions, he looks forward to doing good work by using his professional knowledge and ensuring Owners receive a quality product and a positive experience.

Before joining Schmidt Associates as a plumbing designer, Jake served as a mechanical design engineer for Capital Industries where he led a team of engineers to develop, design, and integrate all mechanical systems for turnkey automation machinery. His other experiences include developing, designing, and integrating mechanical systems and sub systems for custom designed machinery and automation equipment by utilizing hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, vision, and electro-mechanical components.

Outside of work

Jake is beer enthusiast and can be spotted at different breweries around town with friends. He also plays guitar and loves hiking with his redbone/coonhound mix named Sasha.
