Project Overview
The Indiana Youth Group (IYG) has been serving the community of Indianapolis for more than 30 years. The not-for-profit corporation provided a place of community, safety, and trust for many years operating out of a renovated house located off of 46th street. With growing interest and support, IYG began seeking out a new space to better serve LGBTQ youth, and they raised enough funds to relocate to a larger facility on Meridian Street.
Several great features are included in the design to better serve the programs and events that the not-for-profit hosts on a weekly basis. Included in the new space is a classroom and art room, a flexible gathering room for social and fundraising events, exterior courtyard space, and a residential kitchen used to teach basic life skills and host meals for youth. IYG offices and quiet counseling rooms are also included in this building.
