Project Overview
In developing a new student housing project, the University of Indianapolis planned to incorporate campus life while also emphasizing life in a major metropolitan area. Putting their plan into action, the university ran a student contest to name the project and called it Greyhound Village, representing the university’s mascot and a desire to motivate their student body forward. Schmidt Associates worked together with the university to bring a modern living facility for upperclassmen. The resulting design incorporated a 196-unit residence hall furnished with one to four bedrooms, private baths, kitchens, living areas, and washer and dryers. With all of these amenities, students can feel right at home.
