Elif Ekser
A native of Istanul, Turkey, Elif Ekser was influenced by her father who was an architect. Together with her identical twin sister, Elif attended Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts where she received a Bachelor of Architecture degree before serving as an architect for H.E. Architecture in Istanbul.
After her marriage, Elif relocated to the United States and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 2019. The following fall, Elif continued her studies at Ball State University where she obtained dual master’s degrees in Historic Preservation and Conservation, and Architecture in 2021. While attending Ball State, she served as an architectural intern at Schmidt Associates. She prides herself on her ability to quickly adapt to cultural changes, being able to address Owner needs while creating enjoyable spaces and balancing a career with motherhood.
Outside of work
Elif loves traveling, spending time with her children, and finding creative activities for them to enjoy. When she is with her sister, they love watching their children get confused by who’s who.
