Eddie Layton
Associate
AIA, LEED AP
Legos are to thank for first inspiring Eddie Layton to become an architect! Now in his professional life, he views architecture as a way to make a rather large impact on our communities by creating the spaces where people live, work, learn, and play. It’s an opportunity to always leave things in a better way than he found them for our Owners and the end users, whether that is a new school that allows students to learn more effectively or a new office space that improves productivity. If a project is simply aesthetically beautiful but doesn’t function as intended, Eddie sees that project as a failure.
Outside of work
Eddie is a big sports fan: playing baseball throughout his childhood and following teams at the University of Virginia, his alma mater. He also likes to travel through the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee with his family.
