Daniel Sturm

For Daniel Sturm, working in the AEC industry is a family affair. Inspired by his father who was an architect, Daniel grew up taking things apart and putting them back together. This pattern led him to study construction management at Purdue University and graduate in 2010 with a Bachelor of Building Construction Management.

Now working as part of Schmidt Associates’ construction administration team for the second time, Daniel is a master problem-solver who appreciates seeing something go from a paper design to becoming an actual building. He also gets excited seeing the looks of satisfaction from Owners when projects are completed.

He takes pride in the skills he has gained and knowing how they help in building teamwork. Always willing to help and offer solutions, Daniel looks forward to working with Owners and helping them imagine their spaces.

Outside of work

Daniel enjoys camping and playing board games with his family, running half-marathons, and staying involved with his church where he is on the Deacon Board. He is also a talented cook and baker.
