Project Overview
The Great Indy Neighborhoods Initiative’s “Quality of Life Plan”, was adopted in 2012 by the Indianapolis Super Bowl Legacy Committee and identified Clifford Corners as a new space to revitalize the 10th Street corridor. As part of the plan, the site was designed to cater to the needs of low to moderate income students and artists. The resulting structure re-imagined the surrounding neighborhood, offering a three-level, mixed use space that creates 32 affordable one and two bedroom apartments, and four affordable two-bedroom condos. Working collaboratively within the confines of the community, Schmidt Associates delivered a comfortable environment for the residents that is complementary to the historic aesthetic of the street.
